Training and assessment for all courses is delivered by PADI RTO #6729 http://www.padirto.com/ and conducted by First Aid Bowen under a third party arrangement. ALL courses offered are PADI – RTO #6729 courses.
Course content is delivered in accordance with the requirements of Australian National Training Standards (see www.training.gov.au) and in accordance with ASQA (see www.asqa.gov.au). All trainers are members of PADI RTO #6729, meet the National VET Requirements and hold the latest TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment.
All courses are available with either all face-to-face training or with online study and practical session only. With all face-to-face course, no online theory or homework is necessary to complete your course. If you prefer to undertake the theory online, for your convenience, most of our courses are available with this option.
Candidates will be assessed regularly through class discussions, practical skills and answering written questions while you are training. Candidates who are assessed as competent in all skills and knowledge required will be issued with their Statement of Attainment on the spot, at the completion of their course.
For business groups of 9 or more, training can be undertaken at your premises. Please contact us to arrange a schedule that suits your needs.
Please ensure you provide your USI number: As of January 1, 2015 all students participating in Nationally Recognised training are required to provide the RTO training agency with their USI (Unique Student Identifer) prior to Statement of Attainment being issued for the course. If you don't have a USI you will not receive your qualification or statement of attainment. Obtaining a USI number is free and very easy to do. Just click on the following link to apply for your USI. https://www.usi.gov.au/students/create-your-usi
Once you receive your USI number, please provide it to us prior to the commencement of your course.
The Unique Student Identifier or USI is a reference number made up of 10 numbers and letters. The benefits of having a USI are:
• it creates a secure online record of your recognised training and qualifications gained in Australia, even from different training organisations
• it will give you access to your training records and transcripts (available in 2016).
• can be accessed online, anytime and anywhere
• stays with you for life
Your USI will give you access to an online record of the training you have done since 1 January 2015. You will also be able to produce a comprehensive transcript of your training. This can be used when applying for a job, seeking a credit transfer or demonstrating pre-requisites when undertaking further training.
Logistics of our courses:
• If you haven’t already provided us with your USI number, please bring it with you to your course.
• Please bring ID with you to your course as we are bound by legislative requirement to verify each student’s identity.
• Please bring pen and paper with you to your course should you wish to take notes during your training.
• Because there is a physical component to some aspects of the training (i.e. floor work with CPR manikins) please dress comfortably/accordingly.
• For full day courses there will be a 30 minute lunch break as well as a 10 minute morning and afternoon break.
It is suggested you bring a lunch or alternatively, there are a couple of fast-food restaurants nearby where you can pick up a quick lunch.
